Ardnamurchan Distillery releases first Madeira-finished Limited Release

Dramface Exclusive: The Western Highlands distillery announces an addition to its award-winning range of whiskies

 Ardnamurchan Distillery is proud to announce they are releasing a new Limited Edition Madeira Finished Single Malt whisky to add to their award-winning core range of Single Malt whiskies.

The distillery is currently nominated for a number of awards including the OSWAs, SWAs and the Scottish Environment Business Awards VIBES 2022 and have had a successful launch of their first ever Limited Cask Strength in February 2022. The new addition to the range is a Madeira Finished, Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky bottled at 58.2% ABV. 5,781 bottles will be available worldwide from the beginning of November. This will retail in the UK at around £65.00 per bottle.

Connal Mackenzie, Sales Director says: “We are thrilled to introduce our first Madeira finished Ardnamurchan. We selected 25 unpeated, 2016, first fill American Oak ex-Bourbon Barrels and finished them for 14 months in Madeira Barriques. The nose delivers subtle red fruits, spice and both Madeira and Christmas cake whilst the pallet still has the saline quality of a signature Ardnamurchan. Bottled at natural cask strength without chill filtration or colour added this is sure to be a perfect autumnal dram.”
